Flowers may be planted in the south portion of the cemetery. Live flower plantings need to be within 8 inches of the front of the memorial stone only. No tree or shrub plantings.
Due to maintenance operations, plantings are not permitted within the north portion of the cemetery.

Private sales of plots are permitted. Proof of ownership and a Cemetery Deed Transfer Form between the seller and the buyer must be provided at the time of transfer. The transfer fee is $75.00. A new deed must be issued in the buyers name to complete the sale and transfer of ownership. Please contact us to complete the transfer.

As applications are received, they will be recorded in order of date/time received.
Please note, applications are not reviewed or approved on a first come first served basis. Instead, applications will be evaluated based on completion of application, priority analysis, review of financial position, and the ability for a business to leverage these funds most effectively through the recovery effort to achieve long term success. Applications will be collected through November 20 with anticipated disbursement of funds by December 15, 2020. Assistance will depend upon the number of applicants, availability of funds, and demonstrated need.

- Business in operation for a minimum of 6 months as of the date of application. Must be able to demonstrate solvency (defined as positive equity and net income) prior to February 29, 2020
- Provide receipt of application for at least one of the available Government Relief Program (EX: SBA Disaster Loan, PPP Loan, EIDL Loan, Town of Berthoud Sales Tax Rebate, etc.)
- Berthoud based nonprofit organizations in operation for a minimum of 6 months as the date of application offering direct assistance to Berthoud residents with COVID-19 related support.

Municipal Court
You are required to attend court if the word "summons" is indicated on your citation. If a fine amount is indicated instead of a summons, you may pay your citation prior to your court date. If not paid prior to your court date, you must attend court in person on the court date listed on your citation.

If you are wanting to negotiate a reduction of points through Traffic School or Useful Public Service, you must appear in court on your arraignment date to conference with the Town Prosecutor. Each case is processed separately and there is no guarantee your request or plea will be accepted.

Berthoud Municipal Court may grant you a one-time courtesy continuance to our next month's court date.
Please send your request for continuance by email to the Court.
In your request please include your full name, citation number and that you are requesting a continuance and that you understand that you are waiving your right to a speedy trial.

No, anyone visiting our facility must pay a drop-in fee based on their age. The reason we require this is that anyone passing the front desk is viewed as using the facility in some capacity.

Customers 10 and older can use the gym and aquatics area without adult supervision.
Customers 9 and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 or older.
Customers 11-13 must complete fitness equipment orientation and be accompanied by someone 16 or older to enter the fitness equipment area.
Customers 14-15 must complete fitness equipment orientation or be accompanied by someone 16 or older. If the orientation class has been completed, no supervision is necessary.

The monthly membership rate will be debited from your account on the 15th of each month. This auto-renew payment will continue until the account holder has given the berthoud recreation staff a 30-day notice. Upon the 30-day notice, a cancellation fee must be paid to finalize the cancellation.

Recreation Center FAQs
The fee structure was set up and driven by a market analysis for this area which the Berthoud Recreation Center took in account when building the current structure. Operations, maintenance, and building construction will be paid from the 2018 1% sales tax revenue fund from the Town. Buying goods and services in the Town of Berthoud will pay a portion of the expenses along with memberships revenue to use the facility.

Per Municipal Code Section 30-2-112(B)(5) it is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner for the maintenance of trees within the public rights-of-way (“tree lawns”), and the Town has the authority to conduct code enforcement for hazardous trees.

Yes, you can preform the work to your adjacent right of way trees by yourself, but make sure it is work you can handle by yourself, such as light trimming. Larger prunings or removals we recommend checking for a Licensed Arborist Service in Berthoud that can assist you with the work.
Before conducting any work on trees in the right of way strip, we ask that you submit a Street Tree Work Permit to the Forestry Department. This is a short two page document just outlining the work you plan to have done on your street tree. The application is free, and is quickly approved. The information is just for the Forestry Department to review to make sure the town street trees are receiving appropriate care.

As of 2022 Emerald Ash Borer has not been officialy spotted in Berthoud city limits. Colorado State Forest Service has confirmed the presence of Emerald Ash Borer in neighborhoods west of Berthoud in 2019.

The town has measured and recorded all Ash trees located within right of way strips in town. Most trees that meet the treatment criteria will recieve treatments contracted out by the town. Ash trees will recieve treatment on two year cycles, per the treatment requirements.
For privately owned Ash trees, if you want to protect them from the Emerald Ash Borer beetle, we reccomend reaching out to licensed arborist services in Berthoud and inquire about EAB treatments.

No, Inflatables are not allowed however, any US Coast Guard approved “floaty” are allowed such as lifejackets and puddle jumpers. The Coast Guard stamp can be found on the inside of the PFD (personal floatation device.) Inflatable balls are not allowed as they will ultimately be used to float on and they block the lifeguard’s vision.

If the specialty class has spot open after registration is closed, you may drop in by purchasing a pass at the front desk and taking your card and receipt to the instructor at the location of the class.

A card means that there is equipment and physical space. If there are no cards available at the front desk, the class is at capacity. Cards are available 1 hour before class start. We recommend arriving early and taking a few moments to warm your body up.

BATS is the Berthoud Area Transportation System. It is operated by the Town of Berthoud to provide safe, courteous, and reliable service to our riders to help maintain their independence. BATS provides door-to-door service rides within Berthoud, Loveland, and Longmont.
