Wastewater Division manages the wastewater treatment plant and ensures compliance with State and EPA regulations. It also maintains four lift stations serving Berthoud and nearby unincorporated areas of Larimer County.
The plant treats up to 3 million gallons of wastewater daily using conventional activated sludge and aerobic digestion, with bio-solids being land-applied for beneficial use. The treatment process insures public trust by protecting the health, welfare and safety of our community and our precious natural water environment.
