Sean grew up near New London, MN. His father is a private investigator and his mother is a school paraprofessional. Both taught him and his two brothers the value of an education, service, honesty, and hard work. He attended North Dakota State University and graduated in 2012 with a Masters in Architecture, a Minor in Landscape Architecture, and a Minor in Natural Resource Management. During college, Sean began coming to northern Colorado to work with public land agencies. Sean met his wife, Anna while working in Rocky Mountain National Park and fell in love with her and this part of the country.
Sean and Anna moved to Berthoud in 2013 because it had the perfect combination of amenities for them to start a family. With easy access to recreation and jobs, excellent schools, beautiful homes, and friendly folks, Berthoud had everything they wanted. Sean took up architectural work doing historical renovations, institutional projects, laboratories, and residential developments. In 2019, he stepped away from his career to raise their three children, to support Anna's work in sugar beet research, and to spend more time on the betterment of Berthoud.
Sean believes in pragmatic, cooperative government and hopes to bring his extensive professional experience to the board to serve his fellow citizens.
