Here, you’ll find coach policies, details on volunteer incentives, and direct access to coach registration. As a thank you for your time and commitment, head coaches receive one free player registration for the season they coach. Coach registration opens three weeks before the general registration date for each sport. We’re grateful for the impact our coaches make in the lives of young athletes. Berthoud Recreation Youth Sports Coach Policy


At Berthoud Recreation, the safety and well-being of our participants is our top priority. To ensure a secure and positive environment for athletes of all ages, all volunteer coaches are required to complete a background check, concussion training, and attend a pre-season coaches’ meeting. These requirements reflect our commitment to providing a safe, informed, and supportive experience for every player and their family.

Coaching Incentives

At Berthoud Recreation, we truly appreciate the dedication of our volunteer coaches, and we’re excited to offer rewarding incentives to say thank you.

  • Priority registration three weeks before the season begins, giving you the advantage of selecting your preferred practice time slot.
  • Head coaches will receive one free player registration for the season in which they coach (valued between $89 and $164)
