Aquatics

• Youths 10 and older are allowed to use the aquatics facility without supervision
• Swimming is only allowed when there is a lifeguard on duty  
• All swimmers must take a shower before entering the pool and wear appropriate swimwear: T-shirts, cut-offs, sweat pants, etc., are not permitted.  Infants must wear swim diapers in addition to a swimming suit  
• No running, horseplay, or inappropriate behavior in the pool area  
• The pool area prohibits alcohol, tobacco products, glass items, and gum. Food, snacks, and light drinks are allowed. 
• Glass containers, alcohol, and smoking/vaping are prohibited. Anyone under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be permitted to use the facility.  
• A feet-first, forward-facing approach is required when entering the pool from the side. No diving into any areas less than 9 feet deep  
• Lap lane areas, kickboards, pull buoys, and fins are allowed for conditioning swimming and approved programs only  
• Hanging or climbing on lane lines or lifelines is not allowed  
• A paying adult must accompany children 5 years old and under in the water. The adult must be in direct contact with the child at all times  
• Catching children at the bottom of the slide is not allowed 
• No one with open sores, bandages, red/infected eyes, or contagious illnesses will be allowed to use the pool  
• Use of specific areas of the facility may be restricted due to aquatic programming and/or maintenance  
• Any photography within the building must be approved by management staff. The use of photographic equipment including, but not limited to, cameras, cell phone cameras, and video cameras, are prohibited in all locker rooms and bathrooms  
• Berthoud Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen property  
• Management reserves the right to give any direction deemed necessary for the safety of the facility's patrons and security  

Misuse of equipment or failure to abide by rules or staff direction may result in loss of center privileges and/or suspension from the facility 

•  All Patrons must shower before entering the spa  
• No running, horseplay, or inappropriate behavior in the spa  
• Use of oils, body lotion, or minerals is prohibited in spa water 
• Do not use the spa alone. A lifeguard must be on duty 
• Children 5 years of age and under are prohibited in spa water 
• Youth 6-13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian  

CAUTION 

• Pregnant women, elderly persons, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure should not enter the spa without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor 
• Do not use the spa while under the influence of alcohol, tranquilizers, or other drugs that cause drowsiness or raise or lower blood pressure 
• Unsupervised children are prohibited 
• Enter and exit slowly  
• Observe reasonable time limits (that is 10-15 minutes), then leave the water and cool down before returning for another brief stay 
• Prolonged exposure may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting

Programs
If a participant needs to withdraw from a class please notify Berthoud Recreation as soon as possible.  This will allow an additional space for other participants to be registered.   Refunds/credits are not given for uniforms, jerseys, or other merchandise that have already been given to the program participant or specifically ordered for him/her.
Withdrawals- Youth leagues and programs
A 75% refund will be issued to participants unenrolling two weeks prior to the start of the program.
A 50% refund will be issued to participants unenrolling during the first week of a league or program’s start date.
No refund will be issued to participants unenrolling after the first week of a league or program’s start date.
Withdrawals- Youth camps or clinics
Participants unenrolling a week prior to the start of a Berthoud Recreation sponsored camp or clinic will receive a 75% refund.
Participants unenrolling during the first day of a Berthoud Recreation sponsored camp or clinic will receive a 50% refund.
Participants unenrolling during the second day of a Berthoud Recreation Sponsored camp or clinic will receive no refund.
Withdrawals- Adult leagues or programs
Participating teams will not be eligible for a refund once the league schedule has been sent to team captains.
Return Check Policy
A $35 fee will be added to any returned checks.
Refund Details/Options
A Free Admission pass will be offered initially prior to any other option.
Credit to your household account, no processing fee added.
Check Refund, a 10% transaction fee will be applied.
Credit Card Refund, a 5% transaction fee will be applied.
For refunds less than $10, only a household credit is available.
No cash refunds.
Berthoud Recreation reserves the right to change the refund policy at any time.
