Building Permit Fee Information
The applicable building fees vary depending on the specific project. Please see our 2019 Fee Schedule.
A Residential Permit Fee Worksheet is available to assist with calculating potential fees. Please feel free to call the Building Department with questions.
Building permit fees may be paid for in person with cash, check or with a credit card. To pay by credit card over the phone, contact the Building Department at 970.532-2643. Note: Credit card payments over $1,000 will be subject to a 3% surcharge.
Part of the permit fee includes town use taxes. Therefore, it is important to have your project reviewed and a permit issued prior to purchasing of materials. Showing your permit document to the supplier of your materials will avoid paying those taxes twice. For further information on Use Tax on building Permits, please see Use Tax Collected on Building Permits.
Inspections are required throughout construction or remodeling projects. To schedule an inspection call 970.305.3161 x1 or schedule online at www.procodeinc.net/inspections.
