Non-Residential permitting encompasses construction and development of structures other than residential.

Certain projects may require a review by the Planning Department prior to obtaining a building permit.  Before applying for a building permit, please call the Planning and Building Department at 970-532-1643 to determine if such a review is required.

Prior to obtaining a building permit, Contractors must also be registered with the Town of Berthoud. The necessary forms and background information for contractors can be found on the Contractor Registration Page.

The Town has adopted the 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC), the 2018 International Energy Conservation Code, and the 2018 National Electrical Code.
