Public Works - Streets & Stormwater
It is the responsibility of the Town of Berthoud Street Department to assure safe passage on the roadways within the infrastructure by providing periodic maintenance on the streets, pavement markings and traffic control. With a staff of three, the department seals cracks, patches potholes, paints pavement markings, and replaces street signs. The Department is also responsible for street sweeping and snow maintenance.
The Street Department also routinely assists with "Special Events" and projects as needed.
Department responsibilities include:
- Repair and maintenance of streets and alleys
- Repair and maintenance of curbs, gutters and sidewalks
- Repair and maintenance of traffic signs and pavement markings
- Special event support
- Snow plowing and removal
- Street sweeping
- Drainage maintenance
