The Berthoud Municipal Court is a Limited Jurisdiction Court. The types of cases heard in Municipal Court are:
- Traffic
- Misdemeanor
- Animal
- Code Violations
- Parking Citations
Municipal Court Sessions are held the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. Juvenile Court Session is the third Thursday of each month at 3:00 p.m.
Penalty Assessment
If your Summons contains a Penalty Assessment (fine), you may pay this fine by mail or in person up to the day before your scheduled court date. Payment must be cash, check or money order. You must sign and return the pink copy of the Summons with payment. No credit cards or debit cards are accepted.
If your Summons does not contain a Penalty Assessment, you MUST appear on your scheduled date.
Failure to pay your fine or appear in court will result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
