Transportation Committee

In 2006, the Town of Berthoud assumed responsibility for the Berthoud Area Transportation Service (BATS), an organization who has provided transportation services to residents in and around Berthoud since January 1992.

The Transportation Committee was formed by ordinance in November 2006, and the initial appointments to the Committee were made in June 2007. The purpose of this Committee is to serve in an advisory capacity, providing information to the Berthoud Board of Trustees regarding transit issues.

The Committee consists of five members, a Board liaison and one staff representative, as follows:

The staff representative for the Transportation Committee is Eric Boyd, who is the Berthoud Area Transportation Service (BATS) Director.

The Board liaison for the Transportation Committee is Trustee John Bauer.

The Transportation Committee meets the monthly on the 3rd Monday of the Month in the Board Room at Town Hall.

Mountain Avenue Phase 3 Construction Update

Construction on Mountain Avenue will continue west between 6th and 8th Streets for roadwork reconstruction.

Due to the existing condition of the roadway, there will be a two block closure until the street is rebuilt with a road base section.  Local business and pedestrian access will be maintained as much as possible during the closure.

Pavement installation is scheduled for the week of August 30th.
