Trash Service

Trash Collection

The Town of Berthoud has the following companies licensed for trash disposal.

  • Gallegos Sanitation: (970) 484-5556
  • Royal Disposal: (970) 587-8841
  • S & S Sanitation: (970) 667-2283
  • United Waste: (970) 532-0803
  • Waste Management: (970) 482-6319

Effective January 1, 2008, all licensed trash providers are required to provide curb-side recycling for in-town residents. The recycling bins that were previously located across the street from Subway have been moved to the Larimer County Transfer Station. Residents have access to the Larimer County Transfer Station for recycling and to dump other trash. There is no charge for recycling, but there is a charge to dump other trash. The Transfer Station is located next to the Gun Club on County Road 1, and is open Wednesday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Computers and electronics may be recycled for a small fee at the following locations:

  • Loveland Recycling Center on Wilson Avenue, Loveland
  • Larimer County Landfill on Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins.

    Mountain Avenue Phase 3 Construction Update

    Construction on Mountain Avenue will continue west between 6th and 8th Streets for roadwork reconstruction.

    Due to the existing condition of the roadway, there will be a two block closure until the street is rebuilt with a road base section.  Local business and pedestrian access will be maintained as much as possible during the closure.

    Pavement installation is scheduled for the week of August 30th.
