Are plots still available at Greenlawn Cemetery?

There are plots available in all sections of the cemetery, with the most limited amount currently in Section H.

In 2007, we released approximately 98 spaces in the upright section of the cemetery. These spaces are generally available in pairs and are located throughout the older section of the cemetery.

In Section H, there are approximately 30 spaces available. With the exception of two spaces, these are individual grave sites. [>

May we plant flowers?

Flowers can be planted in the upright section.

No planting is allowed in the flat marker section.

Is a burial vault required?

Yes, vaults are mandatory.

Is a cremation urn permitted in the same plot with an existing burial?

Yes, up to two cremains can be interred in a grave space with an existing full body burial. Up to three cremains can be put on a single grave space without a full body burial.

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes. Payment arrangements can be made with a down payment of 25%, with the balance set up on a promissory note to be paid out over six months. Please be aware that the grave spaces cannot be used until payment is made in full.

May opening and closing charges be paid in advance?

No. Opening and closing charges must be paid at time of need and are based on the existing established fee at that time.

Mountain Avenue Phase 3 Construction Update

Construction on Mountain Avenue will continue west between 6th and 8th Streets for roadwork reconstruction.

Due to the existing condition of the roadway, there will be a two block closure until the street is rebuilt with a road base section.  Local business and pedestrian access will be maintained as much as possible during the closure.

Pavement installation is scheduled for the week of August 30th.
