Berthoud Appoints New Town Administrator
Please welcome Christopher Kirk to the Town of Berthoud.
The Town Board of Trustees officially appointed Christopher Kirk as the new Town Administrator for the Town of Berthoud. Chris will join the Berthoud organization on January 22, 2018. Chris brings 10 years of local government experience. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he took a position in Tehachapi, California as a member of the City Manager’s Executive Team. In addition to his undergraduate degree, Chris also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University, Bakersfield.
During Chris’s time at Tehachapi, he rose through the ranks and spearheaded initiatives including strategic planning, branding, and capital improvements. In his role as Assistant City Manager, he and his team successfully completed nearly $10 million in road, water, wastewater, beautification and building projects. Chris is committed to bring the same enthusiasm and success to the Town of Berthoud.
The Berthoud Town Board selected the new Town Administrator after a thoughtful and diligent hiring process. After a thorough interview process that included interaction with Town staff and community members, the Board determined that Chris’s experience, goals, and energy aligned best with the Town of Berthoud and the community.
