Berthoud Town Board Appoints Interim Town Administrator
The Berthoud Town Board of Trustees appointed Parks and Recreation Director Jeremy Olinger to serve as Interim Town Administrator while the organization searches for a permanent leader. Olinger’s appointment begins December 1 and will end once a long-term Administrator is hired.
The Board of Trustees is currently in the process of searching for a new Town Administrator to replace retiring Town Administrator Mike Hart. Hart’s last day will be Nov. 30. To ensure the organization continues to run smoothly and serve residents effectively, the Board appointed Jeremy Olinger as the temporary leader of the organization.
Olinger has worked for the Town organization for more than 20 years in a variety of positions, most recently Director of Parks and Recreation. His experience includes success in managing personnel, developing capital and operating budgets, developing policy recommendations based on resident and committee engagement, and coordinating programs with community partners. He is known by his peers as an honest, transparent leader in the organization with a focus on building relationships, empowering staff, and engaging the community.
“I’m honored by the opportunity to help this community through a time of transition,” said Olinger. “I’m committed to ensuring that the organization continues to meet the expectations of our community. I want to make sure that we don’t skip a beat.”
